2022 Senior Spotlight
Alison Grove
What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
My favorite class was English with Mrs. Metiva because she is humorous, an intellect, and gives wise advice.
What activities have you participated in?
I was a part of the Hemlock Varsity Pompon team for four years, band for four years, Hemlock High School Theatre program for two years, and volleyball for one year.
What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation I plan on finishing out the Early Middle College program at Delta College and then transferring to a university for an undecided career.

Kaitlyn Miller
What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
Psychology with Mrs. Schuknecht. Psychology class was one of my favorite classes because of the teacher, and the material we learned. Mrs. Schuknecht always had a fun way of teaching lessons with games, activities, etc. She was always understanding with homework and was always there for you in and out of school.
What activities have you participated in?
I did Pom Pon from 7th Grade all the way up until my Sophomore year of high school. I took a break my Junior year and then rejoined my Senior year for the 2021-22 football season.
What are your plans for after graduation?
I plan to continue working at my current job over the summer. In the fall, I will begin training courses at the Acme Institute to obtain my realtors license. My end goal is to have my own real estate team under Century 21.

What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
My favorite is English because I love being with Ms. Bonner & Ms. Jenny.
What activities have you participated in?
None
What are your plans for after graduation?
Going to the SOAR program at the Transitions Center.

Advanced Chem, I enjoy the labs and Mr. Yuvan is great

I am involved in Robotics and Tennis.
What are your plans for after graduation?
Plan to attend Michigan Tech in the fall of 2022

What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
Elite Fitness class because it keeps me active and helps me improve in my athletics.
What activites have you participated in?
Football, Basketball, and Track
What are your plans for after graduation?
Attend Northwood University to major in Sports Management, and to continue playing football and running track.

What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
Advanced Chemistry, Mr. Yuvan's tangents are always interesting.
What activites have you participated in?
Equestrian Team and NHS
What are your plans for after graduation?
Go to CMU and become a chiropractor.

What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
Junior year Zoology. Mr. Slate made the class fun and I had it with most of my friends.
What activites have you participated in?
Baseball and basketball
What are your plans for after graduation?
Attend Northwood University to continue my baseball career and pursue a degree in business.

It will be showing now through April 8th, with a reception on March 31st from 4:00-6:00 pm.

What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why?
Speech and debate, Mr. Sysak is an absolutely amazing teacher!
What activites have you participated in?
Student Council, Book Club and Jazz Band
What are your plans for after graduation?
Trades and performing with local orchestra groups.

HSC Scholarship Application for Engineering-Based Summer Program at Michigan Tech Now Open!

MICHIGAN TECH at HEMLOCK HIGH SCHOOL
70 students from Hemlock are currently participating in the MTU Husky Tournament. Teams receive $1,000,000 in virtual US dollars to invest in the stock market. All students that participate qualify for a $1,000 scholarship to MTU.
