2022 Senior Spotlight Nathan Kramer What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Culinary because Mrs. Gerard made it entertaining while letting us learn how to cook delicious food. What activities have you participated in? Student Council, Class Officer, Early Middle College, and Band What are your plans for after graduation? Finish my 13th year at Delta and get a degree in architecture.

2022 Senior Spotlight Lillian Lindsay What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? English 12 with Mrs. Metiva because her classroom atmosphere is really friendly and you can pretty much be yourself in her class. What activities have you participated in? Soccer for 1 year and band for 3 years What are your plans for after graduation? Currently undecided

2022 Senior Spotlight Joshua Claus What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? My favorite class is Pre-Calc because I have a lot of fun in the class. What activities have you participated in? Soccer, Band, Robotics What are your plans for after graduation? Not sure currently

2022 Senior Spotlight Reagan Keyser What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? My favorite class would have to be Calculus with Mrs. Bry. Every morning Alex and I do the Wordle and Nerdle. Mrs. Bry always keeps the class interesting and enjoyable. What activities have you participated in? For sports I have participated in indoor and outdoor Track & Field, Equestrian team, Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer. Outside of sports I have been a member of NHS, Art Club, Spirit Club, and Peer-to-Peer. What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to continue my education at Alma College with a major in Biochemistry.

2022 Senior Spotlight Max Dinninger What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? My favorite class at HHS was English 12 with Metiva. A lot of my friends were in that class and we had a good time every day. Mrs. Metiva was also a cool teacher that we all talked with daily. What activities have you participated in? Football, basketball, baseball, track What are your plans for after graduation? Play baseball at SVSU.

2022 Senior Spotlight Alexis Gillespie What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Art, because of Mrs. Woodcock and the way that expression is expected. What activities have you participated in? Theater What are your plans for after graduation? I want to go to Delta College to study to be a radiation tech. After I get two years under my belt I will either start working or go for a higher education.

2022 Senior Spotlight Lauren Prebay What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Advanced biology because it kickstarted my interest in becoming a veterinarian. What activities have you participated in? I’m a member of NHS and a co-op at a veterinary clinic. What are your plans for after graduation? After graduation, I’ll be attending MSU to major in animal science for my pre-vet course.

2022 Senior Spotlight Karianna Mills What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Psychology, we did fun activities and games to learn. What activities have you participated in? Co-Op What are your plans for after graduation? I plan on attending Delta and getting a degree in Early Childhood Development.

2022 Senior Spotlight Connor McFadden What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Mrs. Bry's consumers math because I was actually able to learn information that I can use in the real world. What activities have you participated in? Freshman track & cross country, Freshman-Junior year drama, 4 years of band and senior jazz band. What are your plans for after graduation? Not sure yet.

Congratulations to our Robotics team for delivering an outstanding performance at the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas. The event was attended by 35,000 people and 456 teams from around the world. Gray Matter's season performance placed them in the 97th percentile of all FRC teams. Congratulations Gray Matter!

2022 Senior Spotlight Grace Oldenburg What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? My favorite class at Hemlock has been English 12 with Mrs. Metiva. She knows how to keep us engaged and always makes whatever we're reading interesting and fun. What activities have you participated in? I've been on the Varsity Pom Team for 4 years, being Spirit Chair for 2 and Captain for 1. I've also been Class President for 4 years, been in NHS for 2 years, and I've been on Student Council for 3 years, being Secretary for 1. I've also been in band for 4 years, being Section Leader for 2. What are your plans for after graduation? After graduation I plan to attend Michigan State University to pursue Human Biology in hopes to go into the forensic field. I will also continue to pom on Mid American Pompon Staff and hopefully on Michigan State's pom team.

2022 Senior Spotlight Bella Light What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Mr. Slate's Zoology because we talk about football and Mrs. Bry's class. What activities have you participated in? Soccer for 2 years, band for 4 years and SCC for 2 years. What are your plans for after graduation? Maybe go to the transitions center for 1 or 2 years and then go to Delta, SVSU or MITC.

2022 Senior Spotlight Chayton Ross What has been your favorite class at HHS? Why? Advanced Chemistry because our labs are always very exciting and Mr. Yuvan is funny even when he's not trying to be. What activities have you participated in? I participate in Soccer, Track, and Robotics. What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to attend the University of Michigan to major in some field of engineering.

Football and Track What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to finish Early Middle College. After that is complete I plan to head to SVSU to pursue a teaching career.
