💡 Hemlock's Gray Matter has been busy over the past few weeks. Between hosting local robotics teams for fun events, collecting socks for the Saginaw Rescue Mission and Underground Railroad, dancing, doing television interviews, and, well, winning competitions and prestigious awards...we can't help but be proud.
In essence, they're living out our mission and vision of HPSD by innovating, collaborating, and educating. To say we are rooting for these students and coaches as they head to States this weekend is a massive understatement.

It's #TeacherFeatureTuesday and today we're featuring the endearing Emily Kaczmarczyk, a 1st grade teacher here at K.C. Ling Elementary School for the past 8 years.
Here are some fun facts about her:
• What could she listen to on repeat? Why, anything country. Thomas Rhett and Morgan Wallen are her favorite.
• As a child, she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. Her mom was a teacher and she spent a lot of time in her classroom watching her.
• She hopes her students remember her as the teacher who cared about them, listened to them, and encouraged them to be the best that they could be every day.
• What can she cook or prepare to perfection? Pickle dip. It sounds funny, but she insists that if you love pickles, you should definitely try it.
• A quote she lives her life by is, "In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
