Today, Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet held a press conference at the Hemlock Early Childhood Center, highlighting the growing need for quality childcare across our region. We were glad to host her as she shared her support for Hemlock Public School District’s federal funding request to expand our childcare program.
While we have not yet secured the funding, our proposal aims to increase access and serve more children and families in the greater Hemlock area. This expansion would help meet a critical need and ensure more young learners have the strong start they deserve.

🎖️ Twin Huskies, Luke and Liam Zastrow—graduates of the Hemlock Class of 2023—recently completed their AIT (Advanced Individual Training) at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri, just months after finishing basic training in April.
These brothers now proudly serve as Horizontal Construction Engineers in the Michigan Army National Guard.
