Join us in cheering on Huskie alumni cousins, Chloe Watson and Lauren Borsenik, as they face off on the court this Thursday, January 22nd at 5:30 PM at the James E. O’Neill Arena at Saginaw Valley.

Lauren suits up for Saginaw Valley State University, while Chloe takes the court for Lake Superior State University — and we couldn’t be prouder of these Huskies competing at the next level.

Learning doesn’t take a day off. 📚✨ While students enjoyed a day off, our teachers spent the day learning, collaborating, and strengthening communication through meaningful professional development and team-building experiences. Their commitment to growth behind the scenes helps make learning even stronger for our students.

Thank you to our incredible teachers for always showing up, learning together, and investing in what matters most.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - a leader who reminded us that service, justice, and kindness have the power to change the world.

As we reflect, may we continue striving to build communities rooted in respect, opportunity, and care for one another.

Ms. Baldwin’s 2nd graders were busy learning the art of estimation this week. 📏 Using their own arm lengths, students estimated and measured their classroom in meters—turning math into a hands-on, full-body learning experience.

Learning by doing never gets old.

Hemlock Huskie History Fact 🕰️ Before vacuum cleaners were rolling across living room floors, Hemlock was already opening classroom doors.

Early motorized vacuum cleaners appeared in 1901—nearly 40 years after Hemlock Public School District began educating students in 1863.
