High School Sweethearts, Lifetime Partners 🥂 Meet Michael & Janice Hingston
Our second annual School Sweethearts series continues with a love story that started in the halls of Hemlock High and has only grown stronger with time!
Michael and Janice Hingston, both proud graduates of the Class of 1982, first met in Mr. West's Biology class—perhaps foreshadowing the chemistry they would share for years to come. Their high school days were filled with laughter, teen dances at Golden Glow Ballroom and Pulaski Hall, and celebrating milestones together, including graduation.
Now, 42 years later and 38 years into marriage, their story is still deeply intertwined with Hemlock. After dedicating 25 years to teaching in the district, Janice embraced the joys of grandparenting in retirement—only to return part-time as Hemlock’s Instructional Coach, continuing to shape the next generation of Huskies.
Michael and Janice are a testament to the lasting connections formed in these halls, proving that some love stories truly stand the test of time.
