Washington DC 2020 Kick Off Meeting- for 7th grade families at 5:00 on Thursday, March 14 in the Middle School cafeteria. Information packets will go home with 7th grade students prior to the meeting. Please email Mrs. Pedelty (pedelty@hemlockps.com) with any questions.


ATTENTION CLASS OF 2023- freshman orientation has been scheduled for March 12 starting @ 7:30 in the high school auditorium.

Recycle Contest 2019- This contest is for any 7-12 grade student. The 2019 Focus is on composting. Your submission can be in the form of video, essay, poetry, song or poster. Grand prize in each category is $100.00, 2nd place $50.00, 3rd place a Certificate of Appreciation. If you are interested stop by the office and pick up a flyer.


7th & 8th Grade Boys Basketball- Today the 7th grade is home against Swan Valley, while the 8th grade will be traveling to Swan Valley. Good Luck!


The Saginaw Bay Youth Orchestra begins its 2019 Spring Session this Sunday, March 10th!!!!
This is a great opportunity for serious music students looking for another way to enhance their musical abilities!!
Rehearsals are from 2-5pm each Sunday (except Easter Sunday) with a concert May 5th.
Rehearsals and concerts are held at the historic Temple Theatre.
Entrance to the orchestra is by audition only. There are openings on several instruments!
Auditions are scheduled for Friday evening March 8th, however students can audition 2 weeks into the Spring Session.

Penny Wars- Help your grade win an ice cream party!! Each grade has a bucket, bring in your pennies to increase your chances to win. Dollar bills and silver change will be counted as a negative amount (this is to sabotage the other grades) to decrease their totals. The WAR will end Friday, March 1st. The money raised will benefit the CAN Council of Saginaw.


High School Pom- If you’re interested in trying out for Varsity Poms, tryouts will be March 4th-8th from 5:30-7:30. March 4th is at the Ling Elementary gym and the rest of the tryout days will be held at the High School gym. There is a sign-up sheet in the office.
