Mrs. Curtiss's students have worked all year composting garden soil and preparing to grow a variety of plants in their greenhouse. They now have a variety of plants started and nearly ready for transplant into family gardens add the school year winds down. Hemlock Varsity Pom- is having a fundraiser May 29th from 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.@ The Maple Grille in Hemlock
Change Battle- the leadership class is having a “Change” Drive to raise money for “Dallis to the Rescue”--this is a non-profit animal shelter. This is similar to the penny drive we had but with this fundraiser all coins will be positive, with bills being counted as a negative.
Library News- May 17th (TODAY)-Last day to check out a book from the library
May 24th- All books are due back
May 30th- Library will be closed
Tonight was our last PTO Meeting for this school year. We will begin selling frozen lemonade next week at lunches if all goes according to plan. Shooting for Tuesday. It would be great if one or two parents could help Julie Reidsma with that. 11:15-12:45--limited time commitment. Won't interfere with DC fundraiser. We are planning a couple things as we head back to school. Maybe a social gathering at a local spot for interested parents a week or two before school starts? A table set up at Welcome Back to School Night for parents to sign up and get more info? If you have ideas and want to get involved, like and share Hemlock Middle School PTO Facebook page and reply as interested or committed. Spread the word! Thank you!!
