Would you like to make a big difference this spring? The Hemlock Federation of Teachers is collecting donation items for God's Helping Hands, a local outreach program which supplies clothing and food to families in need who live in our community.
The Middle School Office is a drop-off spot for this drive, so send a few items in with your student or stop in with your donation and see us in person! Every contribution is a big step toward strengthening our community and ensuring no neighbor goes without.
Thank you!

Time to glow! Our Middle School Student Council put on a legendary glow-in-the-dark dance, and to say it was a huge hit is an understatement. Students wore their best glow attire and partied the afternoon away with pizza, accessories, and an amazing DJ. Thank you to the Student Council members and staff who made this wonderful event possible!

April 1st is National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, and we'd like to take a moment to celebrate three of the absolute best. We can always rely on Ms. Michelle, Ms. Mary, and Ms. Lily-Kate for the kindness, understanding, and strength that forges those important connections with students that can last a lifetime. Thank you for the long hours, the countless "small" wins that are actually huge, and the unwavering care you show our students. We truly couldn't do it without you!

Hi there, HMS Huskies - hopefully everyone is having a great start to their Spring Break.
For those of you who heard Weird Al over the speakers last Friday and thought, "that must be Mr. Wilkowski's playlist" - you were correct! Those of you who submitted correct guesses will receive points which can be spent at the LiveSchool Store . Stay tuned on Friday, April 10th after we return from break for another mystery playlist!

After an incredible month of hoops, high energy, and some seriously impressive teamwork, we are thrilled to announce the winners of our Student Council March Madness Tournament!
Each winning player received a custom, 3D-printed medallion and chain designed by 8th Grader Colton Starke, and produced at our own Lockwood STEM Center by Director Laura Trombley.
Not only was this tournament lots of fun, but all proceeds from the event go directly to the HMS Student Council, helping us fund future events, dances, and student initiatives. Good job, everyone!

Student Resource Officer Randy stopped by for a visit and received a handmade friendship bracelet from one of our students. We love seeing our SRO building great relationships (and keeping his accessory game strong).

Eighth-grade students had the opportunity to visit the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills this week, where they spent the day learning about one of the most important events in history. We’re grateful to the center for welcoming our students and providing them with such a meaningful experience.

Got Ideas? Let’s talk.
We’ve got a great thing going at Hemlock Middle School, and we want you to help us dream up what’s next. Whether it's more dances, cool events, or just more ways to celebrate our kids, the HMS PTO is where the "Why don't they...?" becomes "Let's do this!"
Come grab a seat on Tuesday, March 24th, at 6:00 PM in the HMS Media Center. We’ve got the foundation, but we need your vision to build the fun parts. No old rules, just new ideas.
