This week's #StaffSpotlight is on the tender-hearted Theresa Morgan, a Paraprofessional at K.C. Ling Elementary who has worked here at Hemlock Public School District for over 20 years.
Other than having two nicknames as a child (Mother Nature and Brillo), here are some other nuggets of information you may not know about her:
• Her favorite part of her job is when she sees our kids succeeding; she said it just melts her heart. Her least favorite part is not being able to help someone, and feeling as though what she's doing isn't working.
• The Disney character she feels best represents her is the grandma in Moana. The love that she has for her grand-daughter is how Miss Theresa feels about all her grand-babies.
• Her worst fashion decision was sporting a mullet.
• A song she could listen to on repeat is Country Roads by John Denver.
• She loves to paint rocks and hide them for others to find.
We’re grateful you’re part of the Huskie Pack, Ms. Theresa. Thank you for all you do for our amazing students here at HPSD.

With parent/teacher conferences happening this week, we wanted to remind you that we have two upcoming half days on Thursday & Friday. See dismissal times below.

Say cheese! Picture Retake Day is tomorrow! If your student wasn't here on Picture Day, plan on their picture being taken. If your student needs their picture retaken, please send your previous pictures in with your student for retakes.

Due to out of stock delivery items, our menu for Monday, November 6th, has changed. Choice A will be Chicken Quesadilla or Choice B will be Chicken Nuggets. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

This weeks #TeacherFeature is the lovely Lindsay Davis, a 3rd grade teacher at K.C. Ling Elementary.
We wanted you to get to know Mrs. Davis a little better, so here are some other fun facts about her:
• She simply adores history, even minoring in it in college.
• She has always wanted to be a teacher. When she first started college, she convinced herself that she wanted to be a nurse…but ended up returning to teaching.
• If she won the lottery and decided to give up teaching, she’d start a hobby farm. She has always wanted ducks, chickens, and bees. She’d quickly add goats to the mix.
• She hopes her students remember how she always took the time to be silly, and to remind them that they're loved and accepted. She said she also hopes they remember how her class really did feel like a family.
• We asked her if there was a quote or saying that she lives her life by, and she said: “What’s the best that can happen?”. She shared that while it’s easy to think of the worst thing that can happen and focus on that, when your mindset changes, it’s pretty fun to think about all the great things that could happen.
We’re so thrilled to have you in our Huskie Pack, Mrs. Davis!
