This week's #StaffSpotlight is on Kacie Hook, one of the newest additions to the Huskie pack. We are thrilled to have her joining us as an Instructional Coach here at Hemlock Public School District.
We wanted you to get to know her a little better, so here are some fun facts about Kacie:
• If she won the lottery and didn't have to work anymore, she'd choose to be a "stay at home" mom traveling around the world.
• She can cook gourmet mac and cheese to perfection (and even said she'd be willing to share her killer recipe with us).
• If her life was turned into a movie, she would want Amy Poehler to play her.
• Her favorite animal is a lion.
• And lastly, she could listen to anything by Taylor Swift on repeat.

Over 60 students attended Senior Sunset this past Sunday, an annual event hosted by the class officers.
The seniors were met with a Hemlock High School Senior 2024 sweatshirt to wear during the school year and enjoyed a sunset picnic together to celebrate the commencement of their final year of high school.

It's #TeacherFeature Tuesday, and today we're featuring the lovely Renea Klopf, who has been a Kindergarten teacher at Hemlock Elementary for 7 years.
She has always wanted to be a teacher, torturing her younger cousins with endless pretend sessions of school in her pretend classroom.
If she won the lottery and gave up teaching, she'd buy a large cabin on a private lake where family and friends could vacation and spend countless hours fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the outdoors. And then she'd travel and discover new territories of the world.
We asked her how she hopes her students will remember her and her class, and she responded, "My humor and the goofy books that I read to end each day. I like to call this time of the day, "Mrs. Klopf's Silly Story of the Day." I believe creating a fun and engaging reading environment at an early age will create a lifelong passion for reading".
Lastly, she shared that the Disney character that best represents her is Dory. "No matter what happens in life, you just have to keep swimming! Just keep swimming, swimming. Life is full of challenges, small and large. It is important to remind not only ourselves but students as well to never give up!"
