The Outstanding 8th Grade Boy this year is Cole Wesener. Cole maintained a 3.95 GPA and was involved in NJHS, Student Council, and basketball.
The boys’ 8th Grade Principal’s Award Winner this year is Tyler Vasher. Tyler maintained a 4.00 GPA and was involved in NJHS and basketball.
The girls’ 8th grade Principal’s Award Winner is Reilie Netzley. Reilie maintained a 3.95 GPA and was active in NJHS, Student Council, and volleyball.

Honors and Awards and yearbooks are coming! We don't want to miss this chance to 1) honor our students who have gone above and beyond in some way and excelled in their learning and their efforts and 2) distribute yearbooks. So...here's the plan: we are putting together awards and yearbooks in mailers and will begin sending those out during the week of June 8. Look for these items in the mail after that date. And thank you to all of our students for sticking together with us during the last 12 weeks of the school year! Your determination and willingness to adapt has been inspiring!

Parents and students--Hard to believe, but we are wrapping up the year next week and we're ready for a Huskie round up! It's time to return Chromebooks & chargers, textbooks, library books, etc. It's also time to bring some closure to this most unusual year and we want to see you off to summer vacation in person. So...all items belonging to the school can be returned on Thursday evening, June 4 between 6-7 PM or Friday, June 5, between 10 AM and 2 PM. All you need to do is drive up to our front doors, stop at the curb, stay in your vehicle, and be ready to hand off your items to a staff member--several of us will be there to take care of you and to see you off for the summer. If neither of those options work for you, we can schedule a visit at a different time. Contact Mr. Keyser at keyser@hemlockps.com if necessary. Those who would need to keep their Chromebooks to complete summer school classes will have a different collection time.

Education the way you want it!
We at Hemlock Public School District are here to serve our students, families, and community. COVID-19 is temporary, but will likely have lasting implications for education for years to come. As we start preparing for fall 2020, everyone is dealing with this situation differently and has different expectations. More than ever, we are ready to provide the type of education and environment that you want for your children. As a school district, we are prepared to provide face-to-face instruction, remote learning, or a hybrid model next fall. If you would like more information, a phone call, or to enroll, please call us at (989) 642-5282 or email gronski@hemlockps.com.
