January is Math Month at Hemlock Elementary and K.C. Ling Elementary! Throughout the month, students will take part in fun and engaging activities that highlight how math is used in everyday life. Weekly math questions, math jokes, and estimation jars will encourage problem-solving, critical thinking and curiosity. Math Month information highlighting school activities and home connections will be coming home soon.
Classrooms will enjoy fun math games delivered right to their rooms, school-wide dress-up days, and special math challenges that celebrate mathematical thinking. Families can also look forward to a Family STEAM Night later this month, with more information coming soon. Math Month is all about making math meaningful, enjoyable, and accessible, and we appreciate your support in helping make it a great experience for our students.
