Our 1st grade scientists from Mrs. Siler’s class had an exciting visit to the STEM Center for their monthly lesson! From hands-on activities to creative problem-solving, our students were fully engaged and eager to explore, discover, and learn last week. We love seeing their curiosity in action and can’t wait to see what they investigate next!

Our 2nd grade friends had an opportunity last week as they walked over to Hemlock Elementary to buddy read with our kindergarten students! It was wonderful to see our older Huskies building confidence as readers while helping their younger friends grow their love for books. So many smiles, great stories, and meaningful connections were shared!

Just a friendly reminder that Spring Break is coming up! There will be no school during this time as our students and staff take a well-deserved break to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Our 1st grade friends in Mrs. Kaczmarczyk’s class got extra cozy for a special treat! After finishing Charlotte's Web together, students celebrated by coming to school in their pajamas, snuggling up with blankets, and enjoying the movie version of this classic story. What a perfect way to bring a beloved book to life! ❤️

We had another special guest join us for Reading Month earlier this week! Dr. Pamela Pugh, President of the Michigan State Board of Education spent time with our students sharing stories and helping inspire a love of reading. It was a wonderful opportunity for our Huskies to connect with a guest reader and celebrate the joy of books together!

After their field trip to see Pout-Pout Fish on the big screen yesterday, Ms. Little’s 2nd graders brought the story to life by creating their own Pout-Pout Fish sculptures!

We may have missed National Duck Day… but no worries — we declared our own celebration on “Make Up Your Own Holiday Day!” 😂 These creative friends turned potato chips into duck bills and couldn’t stop quacking with laughter! Sometimes the best moments are the ones you make up as you go.

From rhythm to melody, these hands-on experiences are bringing music to life in exciting new ways!
