Hemlock Athletics is proud to recognize Athletic Training Appreciation Month and honor the outstanding work of athletic trainer Cody Forbes. Throughout the year, Cody plays a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and success of Huskie student athletes across every program.
Cody’s work goes far beyond game coverage. From injury prevention and evaluation to rehabilitation and return to play protocols, athletic trainers serve as trusted medical professionals and steady sources of support for athletes, coaches, and families. Cody’s commitment helps ensure that Huskie athletes are able to perform at their best while competing in a safe and structured environment.
In addition to providing medical care, Cody builds meaningful relationships with students. He educates athletes on proper training habits, encourages accountability throughout recovery, and offers reassurance during some of the most challenging moments of a season. His presence on the sidelines and in the training room makes a difference every single day.
Director of Athletics Angela Pohl stated, “Cody Forbes exemplifies what it means to serve student athletes with excellence and integrity. An employee of MyMichigan Health, he shows up for the Hemlock Huskies day in and day out as if he were born into our program. In my years of athletic administration, he is truly one of the best of the best. Athletic training demands long hours and quiet sacrifice, particularly for a family man with young children at home, yet Cody gives selflessly every single day. He never wavers in his commitment to our athletes’ health, safety, and success. We are incredibly fortunate to have him on our sidelines.”
Hemlock Athletics is grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and professionalism Cody brings to our district. During Athletic Training Appreciation Month, we thank him for the countless hours he dedicates to our programs and for the positive impact he has on generations of Huskies.
