The Hemlock High School Girls Golf program wrapped up its first-ever season in impressive fashion, marking a successful beginning for the newly established team.

Led by Coach Phil, the Huskies fielded a roster of nine student-athletes who represented Hemlock with pride both on and off the course. The team’s inaugural season was filled with competitive play, steady improvement, and memorable moments.

Throughout the season, the Huskies earned a number of top-ten finishes, highlighted by a team victory at the six-team Breckenridge Invitational. Freshman lefty Maylin Buckley led the way for Hemlock, earning Conference Honorable Mention honors and qualifying for the MHSAA State Finals as an individual.

At the state tournament, held over two days at the challenging Ferris State University course, Buckley finished 17th overall, capping off a strong first season for both herself and the Hemlock program.

A special shoutout goes to seniors Victoria Haufee, Bree Bierman, and Allie Watson for being part of the program’s first-ever team and helping lay the groundwork for the future of girls golf at Hemlock.

Coach Phil shared his appreciation for everyone who helped make the season possible, noting how proud he was of the players’ growth and commitment throughout the year.

The Hemlock Girls Golf program has established a solid foundation and set a strong tone for the future of girls golf at Hemlock High School.
