Huskie Pup

The Hemlock Public School District is relocating its administration office to accommodate growth and program expansion for its littlest huskies.

Dr. Don Killingbeck, Hemlock Schools’ Superintendent, stated that they are "excited about the reason for the move; it's because more and more families are choosing to be part of the Hemlock Huskie Pack.” He further noted that this move “will allow more classrooms at Hemlock Elementary to be utilized for children, which is what we are all about at Hemlock Public School District."

Starting in February, the offices that are currently located in the Elementary School on Wilson Street will be transitioning over to the South end of the High School on N. Hemlock Road. The move is expected to be completed by June 2023.

While this relocation is temporary, the administrative offices will remain in the South end of the High School building for roughly five years. Once the planned remodeling and construction projects are completed in the Elementary building, the staff will reoccupy the original space on Wilson Street.

“With all the amazing things happening in our Schools and community, more families are choosing Hemlock,” Board President Matt Wesener said, pointing out that this “has driven a need for more space”, and that they are “excited about both the move and the growth in the district.”
