Enduring Partnerships

Hemlock Public School District is fortunate to have many enduring partnerships, and some of those come full turn from time to time. The current Hemlock High School was built brick by brick by Wolgast Corporation founder Gerald Wolgast in 1958.

Now 65 years later as the Wolgast Corporation is getting ready to celebrate their 75 years of business; the company founded by Gerald Wolgast will return to Hemlock High School to help transform the building starting Spring 2023 and continue through at least 2025.

Board of Education President Matt Wesener said, “Hemlock Schools has a long and successful history with the Wolgast Corporation.  We have entrusted them as our construction manager for the transformation of our district over the next couple of years.  We are incredibly excited to see the results of this partnership come to fruition.”

Wolgast Corporation was selected by the Board of Education to oversee Construction Management for the district, which was made possible through the communities’ voters support at the May 2022 election. Projects will include transforming our 65-year-old high school, reimaging Wallace Field, updating secondary science rooms, and adding a physical education gym to K.C. Ling along with repurposing other space, all this along with site development and work to improve traffic flow.

We are always looking to add more enduring partnerships to our improvement efforts. If you would like to make a donation of in-kind materials/labor/monetary, or just want to talk about partnership ideas, please let us know.
