Traffic Flow, Parking, and so Much More

Hemlock Public School District is working toward a series of projects for the 2023 construction season, these projects are connected to the voters of the district approving the May 2022 bond. The bond is currently structured to be three phases with the first phase planned to address the following:

  • Hemlock Elementary, Parking/drop off/pick up for the Early Childhood Center, move playground, improve site, and more.
  • K.C. Ling, construction physical education gymnasium, renovate cafeteria and current gymnasium, and more.
  • Wallace Field, turf.
  • District campus, continue to improve traffic flow and parking (multi-phase/year).

As the district works to improve service and engage parents, parking and traffic flow are a top priority along with other improvements.

Board President Matt Wesener said, “We are so excited to see all the planning with school and community stakeholders begin to take shape.  The next few years will transform Hemlock Schools and provide enhanced opportunity and experiences for everyone.”

Working in conjunction with the district’s architect firm, Tower Pinkster and construction management firm, Wolgast Corporation the district plans on releasing a series of RFP’s (request for proposal) in the coming months that will be the basis for the 2023 construction season.
