Hemlock Huskies Cradle to College

Hemlock Public School District has so many wonderful things to offer students and their families from the cradle all the way to college. The district launched a childcare center and early middle college program in 2014 and has a robust 1:1 computing initiative in place to support anywhere, anytime, and any place learning, along with a full offering of athletics, performing arts, industrial arts, and robotics. Hemlock Public School District offer programs starting with infants and ending with students in early middle college earning up to an associate degree at no cost.

Board President, Matt Wesener, said, “Hemlock continues to excel in the opportunities available to our kids.  From academics, athletics, robotics and other extracurricular options Hemlock is leading the way!”

The district has been fortunate to consistently maintain enrollment higher than projected for the last several years. It appears that some families have moved into the district while others have selected school of choice as an option. Hemlock is known to be a safe and friendly school with excellent academics and lots of extracurricular opportunities for students.

Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “Parents are selecting to move into the community or use the school of choice option because they want their children to experience the quality education and caring staff that Hemlock is known for.”

The district encourages parents to schedule a tour with the building principal(s) if they are considering attending for the 2022-23 school year. Building principals are available in the buildings starting Monday, August 1st. The second window for processing school of choice applications is July 25 to August 8, 2022. If parents are considering school of choice with Hemlock Public School District they need to complete and submit an application for their children.
