It is with great excitement that Hemlock Public School District (“HPSD”) announces the passing of our $41.9 million bond proposal after the voting was completed on May 3, 2022. The bond will maintain a current millage rate of 3.9 mills allowing not only every student, classroom, teacher, and building to see improvements, but the Hemlock community as a whole.

Parent Sarah Baird said, "The Hemlock community continues to melt my heart with the outpouring of support they show. I am so excited for the future of our Huskies and what this bond renewal will bring for them!"

The multi-series bond will take a number of years to fully implement but the following are some of the many plans for improvement:

  • Secondary Science Labs

  • Renovate Classrooms

  • Technology/Security Enhancements

  • Ling Physical Education Space

  • New Competition Gym

  • Update Wallace Field

  • New Theatre

  • So much more ...

Board of Education President Matt Wesener said, "We are so excited about the successful bond renewal. It will do so much for the schools, community, and most importantly the children for many years to come. It will allow us to impact almost every facet of the district positively. While we are excited about the future, we are even more thankful for the continued support of the community and of course the many fantastic volunteers who put in countless hours to help make this all possible."

We want to thank our community for this investment in our continued growth and success as one of the top innovators in education of our state, as well as their invested interest in every pack member from past, present and future.
