Huskies Join the Festival of Wreaths

There are some traditions that even COVID-19 cannot stop! The Hemlock Public School District is excited to participate in the Hemlock Business Association’s third annual Christmas wreath decorating contest and raffle, “Festival of Wreaths.” This tradition is a local favorite.

Township Manager and HBA Secretary Annamarie Reno shared, “The number of participants has grown to the point that we have to limit the number of wreaths. It helps usher in the holiday season and create that special holiday spirit”.

Those wishing to view the wreaths can view them online at the Hemlock Business Association Facebook page, or in person at the following businesses/organizations: Custom Style Salon, Farmers Insurance – Karin Keel-Todd, Hemlock Auto Sales, Moltus, Hemlock Public School District, Isabella Bank, Jodie Bow – Century 21-The House to HOME Group, Ma-Ma Mia’s Pizzeria, Massa Chiropractic, Richland Township, Rick Ford Sales, LLC, St. Peters Church, Splash & Dash, with more to come!

To purchase tickets, visit local participating businesses, or attend the Holiday Market at the Richland Township Park on December 4, 2020, starting at 4:00 p.m. Winners will be selected at 6:30 p.m. (Attendance is not required to win.) Tickets are on sale for $1 each or six for $5.

Superintendent Killingbeck noted, “Isabella Bank has won first place for at least the last two years, it’s time for Huskie Pack to take a run at unseating the usual favorite this year with a Hemlock Public School District win!”

Proceeds from this event go back into the community. (Examples include: sponsoring families during the holidays, downtown seasonal decorations, food pantry donations, annual children’s Christmas party, etc.)
