Mr. Green celebrates on the putting green as he successfully sinks a putt

Hemlock Public School District recently hosted its Annual Staff Golf Scramble on Sunday, June 1st in the afternoon, bringing together educators and staff members for a day of connection and fun on the fairway. The event offered a well-deserved moment to recharge and reflect as the school year draws to a close.

This annual tradition brings together what defines the Huskie Pack. Hemlock staff came together as one group, celebrating the relationships and achievements of the school year. The weather was beautiful, there was laughter across the course, and there definitely was a little friendly competition. The day reminded everyone of the joy this community has.

We are especially grateful to our platinum sponsors, WorkPlace Strategies and Maple Grille, for their generous support, and to Mueller’s Valley View Farm Golf Course for once again serving as an outstanding host.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible behind-the-scenes efforts of Lela Gronski, who organized the entire event with precision and heart. Her leadership and organization ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. We also extend our thanks to Laura Schlaud, whose support on event day behind the camera helped capture moments from the afternoon. Most of the photos featured in our highlight video were taken by Laura, and the video itself was assembled by our intern, Ian.

“As we near the end of another school year, I’m reminded how humbled and proud I am to serve alongside such an amazing collection of people,” said Superintendent Dr. Don Killingbeck. “Our staff continues to #PullTheSled better, faster, and further than I ever imagined possible. Events like this are a reflection of who we are—dedicated, united, and rooted in something bigger than ourselves.”

As we enter these final, often hectic, days of school, we encourage all staff to take a breath, soak in the final moments with students, and remember how much your work matters.

Thank you, Huskie Pack, for your work on and off the course.
