FLL Crew

In an impressive display of innovation and teamwork, Hemlock Public School District is thrilled to announce that both of our FIRST Lego League Robotics teams have qualified for the State Championship. The event is scheduled to take place next weekend in Mason, Michigan.

Competing against 36 formidable teams at the Freeland event this past Saturday, our teams demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. We are proud to report that they finished 2nd and 3rd overall, marking a significant achievement in their journey.

Our team, Imagine Robots, showcased their commitment to the core values of the competition by securing the second-place award for Core Values. Meanwhile, Superbots, our other star team, earned a well-deserved 2nd place in the prestigious Champion’s Award category. These accolades reflect not only their technical prowess but also their collaborative spirit and strategic thinking.

"We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and hard work," stated Joan Hoffman, FLL Robotics coach. "Their passion for robotics and their commitment to excellence have truly paid off." This remarkable accomplishment would not have been possible without the incredible support and guidance of Coach Hoffman. Her dedication and expertise have been pivotal in nurturing the talents of our young enthusiasts.

We extend a hearty congratulations to both Imagine Robots and Superbots for their outstanding performance. Their journey to the State Championship is a testament to their hard work, creativity, and the spirit of collaboration that defines the FIRST Lego League.

We look forward to their continued success at the State Championship in Mason and are confident that they will represent our organization with distinction. Great job, Coach Hoffman! Great job, teams!

We invite our community to join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement and to continue supporting our teams as they advance to the next level of competition. Find out more about their State Championship schedule on the FIRST Robotics event website.
