Hemlock, MI- Coach Jay Reisdsma is no stranger to the Hemlock soccer program. As a former JV coach and collegiate player, Hemlock Athletics is proud to introduce Jay as our boys varsity soccer coach for the 2021 season.
Coach Reidsma said, “I am honored and excited to be named the varsity boys soccer coach as it is a sport that I am so passionate about. I look forward to building a successful program with me as the coach and the boys that participate in it.”
The boys are off to a successful start playing Bay City Central to a 1-1 tie and playing many quality opponents. The team has 22 members on it and is looking forward to getting Coach Reidsma his first win as a varsity head coach. Come cheer on the team in action for their first home game September 14th, at 6:00 pm against Ithaca.
Athletic Director Cory Snider said, “We are lucky to have Coach Reidsma and his wealth of soccer knowledge leading our program. I have no doubt under his guidance that Hemlock will not only be winners on the pitch, but in the classroom as well.”
