Hemlock Public School District Board of Education regularly honors individuals or groups for outstanding work and /or contributions to student success. This past month was no different.

The Board of Education held their April meeting and elected to honor high school science teacher, Matt Bauer.

Alumnus, Kyle Launstein, nominated Mr. Bauer, for being an exemplary role model. Bauer is a veteran educator and varsity basketball coach.

Bauer graciously accepted the honor in the presence of fellow teachers, support staff members, administrators, students, and community members in attendance.

Board President Dr. Katherine Ellison said, “Every month I look forward to recognizing employees like Matt, who are dedicated to our school and makes Hemlock a great place to be!”

Superintendent Don Killingbeck, said, “This is one way we try to acknowledge the hard work and efforts of our employees. I would encourage everyone to nominate someone who goes above and beyond for recognition.”
