Happy New Year! It is an enduring tradition that a new year means resolutions and a renewed commitment to being the best version of you possible. Hemlock Public School District is committed to renewing their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. This winter and spring the district will embark on updating and developing a new strategic plan that will help guide the district into the future.

The district developed a strategic plan in the 2013-14 school year that has led to some amazing results with stronger partnerships, improved programming, and increased service to families and our community.

The updated strategic plan will focus on the following areas:

  • Mission, Vision, & Core Values
  • Teaching & Learning
  • Human Resources
  • Business Operations
  • Marketing
  • Building & Grounds
  • Service & Community

Board of Education President Katherine Ellison said, "This strategic plan will set the course for the district for the next few years, so it is a very exciting process."

Part of the strategic planning process the district will be reflecting on includes the following:

  • Where have we been?
  • Where are we?
  • Where do we want to go?

Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “Strategic planning is an important step in moving our district forward and provides an opportunity for us to hear from various stakeholders about what they value and believe to be important.”
