When the backup to the backup needs a backup, that is the situation we find ourselves in from time to time with limited substitutes available in all positions. Until recently, no one ever notices because we find a way to make this work.
Now, with covid-19 close contact guidelines requiring a 14-day quarantine, we are experiencing more and more issues and are not able to make things work all the time. We have recently had:
- Two buses that we have had to cancel for the day
- Custodians working overtime to help cover shifts
- Foodservice with a limited crew every day.
