The high school winter sports parent/athlete meeting will be held on Monday, November 20th at 6:30pm in the Auditorium. The athletic handbook will be reviewed, you will meet with coaches and have the opportunity to pay the athletic fee if you have not already done so. The cost is $150 for the entire school year. Free/reduced lunch students are $100 for the entire school year.
All athletes that plan on participating in a winter sport (bowling, power lifting, basketball & wrestling) must have a try-out ticket from the athletic office to give to their coach on the first day of practice. This ticket signifies that the athlete has a valid physical on-file and are not delinquent on other items.
Bowling - Practice will be every Monday, beginning November 13th with the first practice in Mr. Krueger's classroom. This team is for boys and girls.The following Monday's will be held at Crooked Creek from 3-5pm. Our first two matches are on December 16th at State Lanes in Saginaw. Wrestling - Practices begin Monday, November 14th in the high school mat room. There will be a quick meeting on November 10th for those signed-up before students dismiss.
Girls Basketball - Practices begin Monday, November 6th. Varsity & JV together will be 3:15-6:15pm for that entire week. There will also be a scrimmage on Saturday, November 11th against Freeland in our gym. JV will be 1:30-3pm and Varsity 3-5pm.
Boys Basketball - Practices begin Monday, November 13th. Varsity will be 3-4:45pm every day at HS gym, here are practices for the week for JV & Frosh:
Monday- JV 6-7:30pm at MS gym and Freshmen 7:30-9pm at MS gym
Tuesday- JV 4:30-6pm MS; Frosh 6-7:30pm MS
Wednesday - JV 6-7:30pm MS; Frosh 7:30-9pm MS
Thursday - JV 6-7pm MS; Frosh 7-8pm MS also fundraiser 2:30-5pm in HS
Friday - JV 6-7:30pm MS; Frosh 7:30-9pm MS
