Keeping Learning Alive

Hemlock Public School District is keeping learning alive during these uncertain times by keeping students engaged via social media and online links.

STEAM teacher Emily Schmidt has been posting links and creative projects for students and families to keep learning interesting and engaging. She has a 30-day Lego Calendar, family STEAM challenges, and projects posted just to name a few.

MTSS teacher Stephanie Dunton has been utilizing our social media, as well, posting everything from practicing students writing skills by sending notes/cards to our elderly in nursing homes, to Scholastic online links for pre-K through middle school to keep the love of reading month on-going.

Principal Lori Gensch has posted a Virtual Spirit week with ideas for families every day this week. These fun ideas include going on a virtual tour of a museum as a tacky tourist, or going outside and doing a walk/bike ride with family members in your work-out gear.

Students and parents can learn more and utilize these great ideas by downloading our app on our webpage at hemlockps.com and going to the Elem/KC Ling Livefeed area. If you have any questions email phillion@hemlockps.com.
