NEW INFORMATION -     

Christmas Dance- will be on Tuesday, December 18th from 2:45 - 4:30.  You must be grade and discipline eligible and you can not have any overdue library books to attend the dance. In order to have the dance we will need parent chaperones so please ask your parents to help out and let Ms. Ludlum or Mrs. Curtiss know ASAP.

Reindeer Grams- we have order forms and a drop off box in the office for reindeer grams.  They are .50 each and all orders must be turned in by (TOMORROW) December 14th.  Please make sure you have the correct amount of money for your order.

Hemlock Band Program- cordially invites you to our annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday December 19th beginning at 7:00 pm in the Hemlock High School gymnasium. There will be a reception following the concert in the High School student center. We are asking for each band member in grades 7 through 12 to bring a dozen cookies to share, and for 6th grade members to bring a case of water.

7th and 8th Grade Bands should wear their band polo, khaki pants, and nice dress shoes.  The 6th grade band should dress in nice dress clothes. The HS band will be in full concert black.

Call Times:

HS Band should report for a 6pm warm up and percussion should report at 5pm.  MS Should report at 6:30pm and place belongings in designated area and then be seated in the bleachers.  Remember, the concert is at the High School gymnasium.

 

Baseball Holiday Camp-  Northwood University is hosting a 13 and under baseball camp December 27th & 28th at their University Turf Building.  Special Guest Instructors will include current MLB players. Registration forms are in the office.

6th Grade Band Students- all band students need to report to band today.

NJHS- there will be a meeting today during 1st  lunch in room 2.

5th-8th grade MS Club Softball- sign-up sheet is in the office.

7th grade Girls Basketball - 10 seconds into the game, Sophia Hauffe dribbled thru 5 defenders, up and down the bleachers, thru the parking lot, back into the gym and then scored the first 2 points of the game on a layup. 16 minutes later the Huskies had a commanding 24-4 halftime lead against the Shepherd Blue Jays and never looked back. The final was 44-16 putting the Huskies at 3 wins on the season.  Riley LaFrance led all scorers matching the whole Shepherd team with 16 points of her own. Jaedyn Mallek scored 8 points and Corrina Gomez was right behind her with 7. Sophia Hauffe and Mya Wunsch each tallied 4 points. Emma Streich scored 3 and Madi Penny also added a bucket. The Huskies are at home Monday night for the final game of the season!

8th grade Girls Basketball - Another super win for our Nine Incredibles. The girls took the Shepered game with a score of 50-32. Regan Finkbeiner had four 3's and a total of 26 points, Chloe Watson put up 8 points Breanna Turner sunk 6 points, Ella Wardow finished the game with 4 points, and Morgan Walle had 2 points. Ella Wardlow again played tough grabbing 9 rebounds. The girls stand tall with a record of 10-1. Wonderful win girls.

The 7th and 8th grade girls last game is Monday,  December 17. at home against Alma. 7th grade begins at 4:30 and 8th grade girls begin at 5:30. Hope you can make this seasons last game.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Box Tops- Please clip any box tops from home and drop them off in the office.

Archery Classes- Thomas Township is offering a beginner’s archery class. Registration deadline is December 14th.   Flyers are in the office.

Mornings-on days when it's 32 degrees or below, or snowing,  you are allowed inside due to weather, 5th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 6th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 7th graders seated on north side tables in cafeteria, 8th graders in lobby. Remain there until 7:45 when bell rings.

Breakfast and lunch rules-everyone is expected to finish their meal in the cafeteria and dispose of all trash before leaving the cafeteria. Respect our building by keeping it litter free inside and out.

Ala carte Specials- starting today  you will be able to purchase Sparkling Ice flavors for $1.25 (thursday only), and on Friday cookies one for $.75 or two for $1.00.  You must have money on your account or cash.
