NEW INFORMATION -   

7th & 8th Grade- Mrs. Otter is looking for 25 students to volunteer to work during the Senior Citizen’s Thanksgiving Dinner on November 9th from 11:15-3:30 p.m.. There is a sign up sheet in the office.  All volunteers must have their own ride home.

Saginaw Spirit Hockey- is hosting their second annual “Robotics Night” on Sunday, November 4.  Ticket order forms are available in the office. Tickets are $13.00 payable by check to Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club. Hemlock Robotics receives $5.00 back from every purchase.  Middle School and High School robotic teams will have displays set up prior to the game in the Blue Line Club from 4:00-5:00.

Spirit T-Shirt Design Contest-   submit an appropriate drawing,  phrase,  or picture of what you feel best represents the Huskie Spirit.  The winning design will also be featured on our Spirit Shirt and orders will be placed online. The WINNER will receive a t-shirt with their design and $25.00.    Forms are available in the office.   Forms are available in the office.    Deadline is November 7th

Spelling Bee- If you are interested in participating in the 2018-19 spelling bee. Please sign up in the office or see Mrs. Garrett.  Practice will begin November 6. Come join 3 time state champion in his final year of competition.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

7th & 8th Robotics-  you will meet Thursday from 3-5. There will also be a programming meeting Wednesday (today)  from 3-4.

MS Pom- Tryouts 5:30-7:30 in the MS gym.  Physical must be on file.

The MS Parent/Athlete Meeting- for wrestling, girls basketball and pom pon will be held on Thursday, November 1st at 5pm in the cafeteria.

MS Girls Basketball- practice will begin on Monday, October 29th. 8th grade will be 3-4:30pm and 7th grade will be 4:30pm-6pm. In order to practice, you MUST have completed the following:

1) Parents MUST register in FinalForms. See directions below if you have not already completed this step.

3) A valid physical MUST be on file with the Athletic Department (HS office). A valid physical is one done on or after April 15, 2018.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Trail of Terrors- Merrill’s class of 2021 invites you to the Tail of Terrors  October 26, & 27 8:00-11:00 p.m.. Admission is $5.00

Trunk or Treat- SVSU Athletes are hosting a Trunk or Treat around the track October 26, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.  @ the O’Neal Arena. Flyers are in the office.

Box Tops- Please clip any box tops from home and drop them off in the office.

Rainy mornings-on days when you are allowed inside due to weather, 5th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 6th graders sitting at their lockers in their hallway, 7th graders seated on north side tables in cafeteria, 8th graders in lobby. Remain there until 7:45 when bell rings.

Breakfast and lunch rules-everyone is expected to finish their meal in the cafeteria and dispose of all trash before leaving the cafeteria. Respect our building by keeping it litter free inside and out.

Ala carte Specials- starting today  you will be able to purchase Sparkling Ice flavors for $1.25 (thursday only), and on Friday cookies one for $.75 or two for $1.00.  You must have money on your account or cash.
