The Hemlock Public School District has a Board of Education vacancy and residents of the district are encouraged to apply for the position.

Board of Education President Katherine Ellison, Ph.D. said, "Being on the Board of Education is a wonderful opportunity to help set the vision and goals of the district, which affects everyone in our community."

Residents of Hemlock Public School District who are interested in filling this position must submit an application, which may be picked up at the central office located at 200 Wilson Street or online at hemlockps.com

Applications must be returned by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, to the central office, or mailed to: Hemlock Public School District, Attn: Superintendent Don Killingbeck, 200 Wilson St., Hemlock, MI 48626.

The newly appointed trustee will serve a partial term and have to run for office in the November 6th election.

Superintendent Don Killingbeck said, “This is a wonderful way to give your time to the school and community, our board of education members are important in helping provide vision and community voice to the district.”
