Cause for Applause

Hemlock Public School District Board of Education regularly honors individuals or groups for outstanding work and /or contributions to student success. This past month was no different.

The Board of Education held their regular December meeting at Hemlock Middle School and elected to honor parents, teachers, and staff that are part of what makes our middle school special and focus on Kids First.

HMS Principal Terry Keyser nominated the following colleagues and community members:

  • Parents, Shawna McCommon and Bobbi Jo Brummel
  • Support Staff, Karen Stine
  • Social Worker, Jamie Otter
  • Teachers, Jennifer Pedelty and Kyle Wilkowski

Principal Keyser spoke about each recipient and their contributions to the middle school for their outstanding support, care and guidance to staff, and students.

Hemlock Board of Education President Dr. Ellison noted, “These dedicated school and community members are what make Hemlock a great place to be! Every month I look forward to recognizing their service.”

Superintendent Don Killingbeck, said, "This is one way we try to acknowledge the hard work and efforts of our employees. I would encourage everyone to nominate someone who goes above and beyond for recognition.”
