NEW INFORMATION -

Christmas Concert-The Christmas Concert is fast approaching.

7th and 8th Grade Bands should wear their band polo, khaki pants, and nice dress shoes.  The 6th grade band should dress in nice dress clothes.  For the reception after the concert we are asking for the following:

6th grade- 1 case of water from each student

7-12th grade- 1 dozen cookies from each student.

Ugly Sweater Day- TUESDAY DECEMBER 19TH

Spring Softball Club 6th-8th girls- If you have any interest in playing softball in the spring. We have a sign-up sheet in the  office.

5th - 8th Hemlock Jr. Equestrian Team- If you would like to be a part of the Middle School Equestrian Team please “friend” them on their Facebook page for information about your first practice.

Reindeer Grams- Order forms will be in your first hour classes as well as in the office.  Please make sure you have the exact change for your order, then place your order in the box located in the office.  Deadline for ordering is (Wednesday) December 13th.

Christmas Dance- Our Christmas Dance will be on Thursday, December 14th from 2:45-4:30. Students need to make sure THAT BY TUESDAY AT THE END OF THE DAY they do not have any overdue library books and are grade and discipline eligible to attend the dance.  Wristbands will be sold during 7th hour on the 14th. The cost of the dance will be $3.00 if you’re dressed in holiday or Christmas theme, or $4.00 if you’re not.  

Toy Drive- Please help the Hemlock Middle School Leadership Group to collect toys for families in the Hemlock community.  The toy drive will be Nov. 20th - Dec. 14th.  The donation box is located in front of the library.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

8th grade Girls Basketball- 8th grade girls dropped a hard fought game to Standish 34-20.  They played hard, jumping out to a halftime lead of 16-15 but came out at halftime slower without scoring in the 3rd quarter.  The Huskies then scored only 4 points in the 4th.   Bethany Beck led the Huskies with 7 points while Sami Seidel, Alex Grzenia, Cammy Deweese and Reagan Keyser also scored.  The Huskies will be home Wednesday night to face Bullock Creek.

7th grade Girls Basketball- with every effort they could give, our 7th grade girls gave it their all against Standish last night.  Only falling slightly short of grabbing the win.  Standish came out a tad ahead 41-37.  All the girls worked hard on the floor.  They give their all every game.  Ella Wardlow, Alyssa Dearman, Izzy Loucks, and Breanna Turner worked hard underneath grabbing several boards.  Regan Finkbeiner put up 15 for the Huskies, while Chloe Watson added 12, Breanna Turner 6, and Ella Wardlow 4.  The girls take the court again at home against Bullock Creek on Wednesday at 4:30.  

PEER TO PEER- There will be a meeting Wednesday during lunch in room 19.  No need to bring or buy lunch that day.  Pizza will be provided for members!

MS POMS TEAM- has a LuLaRoe fundraiser starting December 9th running through the 23rd.  You can shop online @LuLaRoe KrisMis Everyday VIP Group on Facebook

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES-

7th and 8th grade boys basketball- sign-up sheets are in the office.  Please stop by before or after school, or during your lunch to sign up.  Mrs. Galbraith will be here Dec. 20th and Jan.3rd during lunch to hand out “try-out” tickets if your physical has been turned in. Open gyms (7th & 8th grade) Dec. 15,  7:30-9p.m., Dec. 20,  8-9p.m., Dec. 28,  7:30-9p.m..  Practices will begin Jan.3,  8th grade 4:30-6 p.m.,  7th grade 3-4:30 p.m..****open gyms will include 7th grade*****

Christmas Band Concert- is December 20th, 7:00 at the High School gymnasium.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Washington DC Raffle- Help support our 8th grade students by purchasing a  raffle ticket for $10.00.  Tickets can be purchased in the Middle School office or at the board office.

Yearbooks-  Order forms are located in the office. You can order your yearbook by filling out an order form and dropping it off in the office,  or they can be ordered on-line.
