NEW INFORMATION

Peer to Peer- there will be a meeting Wednesday during lunch in room 19.

Christmas Dance- Our Christmas Dance will be on Thursday, December 14th from 2:45-4:30. Students need to make sure that they are grade eligible to attend the dance.  Wristbands will be sold during 7th hour on the 14th. The cost of the dance will be $3.00 if you’re dressed in holiday or Christmas theme, or $4.00 if you’re not.

7th and 8th grade Robotics- you will meet Tuesday-Friday from 3-5.

Spelling Team- There will be a meeting Today and Thursday from 2:50 - 3:50.  Please contact Mrs. Garrett if you can not attend.

Toy Drive- Please help the Hemlock Middle School Leadership Group to collect toys for families in the Hemlock community.  The toy drive will be Nov. 20th - Dec. 14th.  The donation box is located in front of the library.

Thomas Township Christmas Train & Light Festival- Bundle up for wintery wonderland of Holiday lights aboard the Roethke Express. Dec. 1st - 2nd, and 8th - 9th.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

8th grade girls basketball- the girls traveled to Carrollton last night and pulled off a dramatic come from behind victory by the score of 42-36.  The Cavs led by as many as 10 points before the Huskies outscored the Cavaliers 17-2 in the last quarter.  Reagan Keyser led the Huskies with 16 points, with 10 of those coming in the last quarter-while Bethany Beck tacked on 14 points including sinking the tying and go ahead free throws in the final minutes of the game.  Sami Seidel also scored 8 points with Avery Robishaw and Cammy Deweese adding 2 each.  Helena Marietta and Cammy also shut down the Cavs Leading scorer to just one basket in the 4th quarter.  The girls play at home tomorrow. And will have team photos taken before the 7th grade game.

7th grade girls basketball-congratulations last night on the win against Carrollton 52-17. Everyone played a wonderful game rebounding and on defense!  A valiant effect as working as a team!  Regan Finkebeiner lead the team with 19 points followed by Chloe Watson with 11. Ella Wardlow, Breanna Turner, Alyssa Dearman and Izzy Loucks had a stellar defensive game.  The girls have went undefeated for the first half of the season!!

7th and 8th grade boys basketball- sign-up sheets are in the office.  Please stop by before or after school, or during your lunch to sign up.  Mrs. Galbraith will be here Dec. 20th and Jan.3rd during lunch to hand out “try-out” tickets if your physical has been turned in. Open gyms (8th grade only) Dec. 4 8-9p.m., Dec. 15 7:30-9p.m., Dec. 20 8-9p.m., Dec. 28 7:30-9p.m..  Practices will begin Jan.3,  8th grade 4:30-6 p.m.,  7th grade 3-4:30 p.m..

Yearbooks-  Order forms are located in the office. You can order your yearbook by filling out an order form and dropping it off in the office,  or they can be ordered on-line.
