NEW INFORMATION-

Congratulations- Alexandria Grzenia, Sierra Hanson, Helena Marietta, and Shane Renas. They have been chosen as finalists for the Hemlock Semiconductor Community Calendar Contest.

7th & 8th grade wrestling- sign-up sheets are in the office.

Pom Try-Out sign-up sheets are in the office. This is for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls. Please stop by to sign up before school,  after school, or during your lunch.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES-

Hearing test-  6th grade will have their hearing tested October 17th.

Annual Pom Clinic-  5th grade girls- practice starts today at the Ling gym from 2:45 until 4:15.

Haunted Train Ride & Haunted House- new this year at Roethke Park is a haunted house. October 13, 14 and October 20, 21.

SPORTS/CLUBS-

Cross country- The HMS Cross Country teams competed Saturday at the Heritage HS Invitational at Saginaw's Imerman Park. Both the boys’ and girls’ team competed in one division with an abundance of larger schools in the mix.  The boys' team finished in 11th place minus some of our fastest runners. Brayden Honsinger claimed first place in a duel with Max Faeber of White Pine MS, eventually claiming a 7 second victory in 11:16 for the 3200 meter races.

The girls’ team also finished in 11th place.  They were led by Reagan Keyser, who finshed in 16th place.

In the 5th/6th grade girls’ race, Izzy Krueger led the way, finishing in second place while Megan Tilot was 12th.

In the 5th/6th grade boys’ race, Landon Zastrow finished in 2nd while Owen Rathbun was 17th.

The teams compete next on Tuesday at the TVC West Division Jamboree #3 at Ithaca, then Thursday at the Bay City Western MS Invite at Delta College, then Saturday at the Freeland Invitational at Midland's Stratford Park.
